Durable Flooring For Your Restaurant

Designing a restaurant is a lot more than just choosing a menu to serve everyone; it's also about creating an overall vibe that will entice people to want to dine in at your restaurant and hopefully order more drinks and food throughout their stay. One of the biggest design decisions that you will have to make regarding your restaurant is the type of flooring you put in it because you want it to be durable, resilient, and look good at the same time; that way you don't have any issues.

Acid Brick Flooring

Acid brick flooring is a type of flooring that you may see a lot in Italian or Mexican restaurants because it kind of has that old-world feel but it doesn't cost a fortune. The great thing about this type of flooring is that it's really strong and doesn't chip easily. Plus, you can have it laid in a variety of different patterns to give your restaurant whatever vibe that you want. For instance, you can have your brick laid in a chevron-like pattern, a brick pattern, basket weave, or even herringbone depending on the look that you want.

Penny Tile Flooring

Penny tile flooring has been popular for decades. In fact, if you were travel to a big city like Paris, San Francisco, or New York, you would see a lot of old cafes with penny tile flooring in it. This type of flooring gives off that Parisian vibe that is fun to use in cafes or bakeries. Costing only an average of $5-$7 per square foot which is fairly reasonable, penny tile flooring will give your restaurant that chic vibe that you want without having to pay a fortune. If you do want a pattern hand laid then you will have to pay more because it's a lot harder to do.

Concrete

If you want a really resilient type of flooring at an affordable price, then just use the concrete flooring that was laid in your place as your restaurant flooring. If it's in poor condition, then you can have it sanded down and then you can have a sealant placed over the top which will add a sheen or a unique type of coloring. The great thing about concrete is that it's really easy to take care of and doesn't require much maintenance or upkeep.

About Me

Creating Gorgeous New Floors After tearing out all of the old carpet from our home, I realized that we needed something a little better. I began looking around at alternatives, and I found a really nice laminate that worked well with our budget and that looked really nice. I talked with the installers about putting it in, and they were more than happy to work with us. Within a few weeks, we had a new floor, and it made all the difference in the world. I decided that it would be fun to start an entire blog about flooring, so read more here if you have questions.
